About the role
This staff-level role is the founding platform security engineer at the intersection of security and infrastructure for an enterprise AI support platform. The focus is on durable systems, such as paved paths and automated secure configuration, that let every engineer do the right thing by default. The work helps win deals with security-conscious enterprises.
What you'll do
- Design secure multi-tenant infrastructure that isolates customer data while supporting efficient AI model serving.
- Build golden-path service templates, libraries, policies and automation so new services are secure by default.
- Own infrastructure-as-code and GitOps practices, including reusable modules and policy-as-code.
- Expand and help run platforms for alert detection, secrets management, IAM and automated remediation within CI/CD.
- Translate SOC 2, ISO 27001 and GDPR requirements into automated technical controls with partner teams.
- Join security on-call and raise the bar on runbooks, operability and incident learnings.
Requirements
- 8+ years building and operating production infrastructure, with exposure to security or strong interest in it.
- Deep knowledge of Google Cloud and/or AWS, including networking, IAM and security services.
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code and a record of building developer-facing automation.
- Strong coding ability in a language such as Python, Go or TypeScript.
- Experience with secure container deployment, service mesh and Kubernetes security.
- Observability and incident-response tooling experience and clear written communication.
Nice to have
- Early or founding platform, infrastructure or security engineer experience.
- Experience building internal platforms and self-serve environments.
- Software supply chain security and static analysis tooling familiarity.
- Detection and response data pipeline experience.
- Enterprise compliance knowledge from an infrastructure perspective.
Pay & benefits
