About the role

This role embeds a senior researcher within an existing options trading platform to build systematic futures strategies that complement it. The work covers signal research, futures-based hedging and directional overlays, and turning research into production models alongside traders and developers.

What you'll do

  • Research, develop and validate systematic delta-one futures strategies across rates, FX, commodities and equities.
  • Build signal generation frameworks that support standalone futures strategies and options portfolios.
  • Design futures-based hedging methods to improve portfolio risk management.
  • Model strategy and portfolio risks including exposure, volatility, liquidity and cross-asset correlation.
  • Backtest and validate out of sample, accounting for transaction costs and execution constraints.
  • Work with traders and developers to productionize models, set up monitoring and review live performance.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of quantitative research supporting systematic trading, preferably in futures and listed derivatives.
  • Track record of signals or models deployed in production that contributed to trading performance.
  • Strong grasp of derivatives pricing, volatility dynamics and risk modeling.
  • Expertise in backtesting and model validation, including overfitting and data leakage.
  • Fluent Python and experience with large financial datasets.
  • Knowledge of market microstructure and execution modeling.

Nice to have

  • Experience researching strategies across global futures markets.
  • Experience integrating options strategies into systematic futures frameworks.
  • Familiarity with portfolio construction, capital allocation and risk budgeting.
  • Experience working within or alongside an options trading desk.
  • Advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering or computer science.
