About the role

  • Develop test plans with product owners and run campaigns with the test-site team.
  • Operate new and existing test article designs and evaluate how the hardware behaves.
  • Write test sequences, review data, write code and sit console during hotfire tests.
  • Support engine subsystem troubleshooting, system analysis, simulation and trade studies.
  • Start and own projects that improve team efficiency, and possibly take part in stage test and flight campaigns.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in complex engineering system development or test.
  • Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, technology or mathematics field.
  • Working knowledge of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics fundamentals.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to test operations environments.
  • Working knowledge of combustion devices, valves, heat exchangers or instrumentation.

Pay & benefits

USD 132k–198k. The posting lists competitive salary and equity, generous PTO and sick leave, parental leave, and an annual learning and development stipend.

Visa path

Senior test engineers often support an O-1A case with evidence such as leadership of hotfire campaigns, critical roles on engine qualification programs, publications, patents, and expert recognition. The posting states no citizenship restriction. An employer like this, or a U.S. agent, can file an O-1A petition for a qualifying candidate, though approval depends on the individual's evidence and is not assured.
