About the role
This pre-sales role makes the employer's security expert for large healthcare and life sciences customers. The architect answers CISOs and compliance teams on data flows, encryption, access control and deployment options for AI systems. It also feeds customer security gaps back to product and engineering teams.
What you'll do
- Act as the lead security and compliance voice in customer meetings on architecture, data flows, encryption and access controls.
- Design solutions with customer security teams that satisfy healthcare and life sciences regulations such as HIPAA, GxP and SOC 2.
- Run technical deep-dives on network architecture, data residency, API security, authentication, audit logging and integration patterns.
- Support security reviews, vendor assessments and due diligence with detailed technical documentation.
- Relay feature gaps and customer security needs to product and engineering to influence the roadmap.
- Build reference architectures and enablement content for sales and applied AI colleagues, and travel to customer sites for workshops.
Requirements
- 8+ years in enterprise security, cloud architecture or technical pre-sales, with exposure to regulated industries such as healthcare and life sciences.
- Deep knowledge of network security, identity and access management, encryption, API security and audit logging.
- Experience with compliance frameworks including HIPAA, GxP, HITECH, SOC 2, PCI-DSS and GDPR.
- Strong grasp of cloud architecture on AWS, Azure or GCP, including VPCs, private endpoints and hybrid connectivity.
- Track record working with CISOs, security teams and compliance officers at large enterprises.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
