About the role
This role turns new quantum error correction and fault-tolerance research into training for users moving from noisy near-term devices to fault-tolerant machines. The scientist builds courses, tutorials and hackathon challenges for audiences in industry, academia and national labs. It exists to lower the barrier for customers adopting neutral-atom hardware.
What you'll do
- Teach new QEC and fault-tolerance research results to internal teams and external users.
- Author and maintain hands-on learning materials such as tutorials, notebooks, problem sets and quizzes.
- Prepare technical talks and demos for customers, partners, conferences and hackathons.
- Work with product, research and solutions teams so content matches current software features and hardware limits.
- Turn fresh R&D into learner pathways with clear objectives and assessments, then refine them using learner feedback.
- Run enablement and community programs such as workshops, forums and hackathons, and expand documentation.
Requirements
- PhD, or MSc/BSc with equivalent experience, in physics, computer science, electrical engineering or a related field.
- Solid grounding in quantum information, spanning algorithms, software tooling, data analysis and hardware limits.
- Experience running quantum algorithms on real devices and adapting circuits to device constraints.
- Familiarity with quantum error correction, including algorithms in an error-corrected setting.
- Experience creating technical teaching material and putting it on online platforms.
- Strong written and spoken communication for varied audiences.
Nice to have
- Track record of QEC and fault-tolerance research, shown by publications and talks.
- Familiarity with neutral-atom quantum computing platforms.
- Experience with quantum scientific-computing tooling.
- Experience running hackathons and building developer communities.
- Comfort analyzing data to measure learning outcomes.
