About the role
O1D Match helps exceptional professionals understand and pursue the U.S. O-1 visa. We work with startups and entertainers to build custom solutions, and we need skilled people on O1D projects. You will write clear documentation, guides and help content for the platforms and tools we build.
Responsibilities
- Write user guides, how-to articles and onboarding content
- Document internal workflows, APIs and runbooks
- Turn interviews with developers and subject experts into clear written material
- Edit and maintain existing documentation for accuracy
- Write in plain language for non-technical readers
Requirements
- 3+ years of technical writing experience with writing samples
- Excellent written English
- Ability to understand software and explain it simply
- Experience with Markdown, Google Docs and documentation tools
- Careful fact-checking habits
Nice to have
Experience writing about regulated topics (legal, finance, immigration), API documentation, video scripts for explainer content.
Location and hours
Fully remote. Flexible hours, project-based work. Engagements range from short fixes to longer builds, and you choose the projects that fit your schedule.
